Bus passenger seeks compensation for fall injuries

A woman from Bedfordshire has launched a claim for bus accident compensation after suffering personal injury whilst travelling on a bus.

The 45-year-old woman had just boarded a bus in Kempston with her 10-year-old daughter and was climbing the stairs to the upper floor when the driver suddenly pulled away from the bus stop. The sudden movement of the bus caused the woman to fall and concerned passengers began to shout at the driver to stop.

The woman initially thought she had suffered bruising in the accident but woke the next morning in severe pain and required medical attention. She was diagnosed with a fractured pelvis and was forced to use crutches for 11 weeks.

The woman has since sought the advice of a personal injury lawyer and has launched a claim for bus accident compensation against the company which operated the bus. She has also appealed to her fellow bus passengers to come forward as witnesses.
