A Scottish man who received a whiplash neck injury in a rear-end car accident in Glasgow city centre may be eligible to receive compensation, should he decide to proceed with a personal injury claim.
The 42-year-old finance worker had been travelling to work for the first time in 2010, following a holiday spent with family in Honduras, when he was rear-ended by a transit van being driven by an uninsured driver. It was not until the following day that he was diagnosed with a whiplash neck injury.
It later transpired that as well as being uninsured, the driver had been working for a kitchen fitting firm despite not possessing the correct visa.
The fact that the driver was uninsured means that should the finance worker wish to proceed with a whiplash neckinjury claim, it is likely that he will have to seek to obtain compensation from the Motor Insurers Bureau, the body responsible for settling claims for road accidents caused by uninsured drivers.
