A Northamptonshire man may be grateful for escaping a car accident with only whiplash injury after crashing into a gas main outside a stately home this Wednesday.
The accident occurred at quarter past midnight, for reasons as yet unknown. The emergency services were called to the home of the Duke of Buccleuch, where they isolated the main, allowed the gas to dissipate, and cordoned off the area.
*Where replacement vehicle costs can be recovered from the insurance company of the person who caused the accident.
Where this person is untraceable or uninsured, or where there is a dispute over liability, a replacement vehicle cannot
be provided.
