From car crash to church bells
A couple from the West Midlands have told how they are in the unusual position of being able to thank a whiplash car accident for bringing them together.
In 2005 a 24-year-old electrician was travelling to work when he stopped his van at the site of a collision between a lorry and a car to see if he could be of assistance to any injured or shaken up parties.
In need of the electrician's assistance was a 23-year-old administrator who was suffering the early symptoms of whiplash; she accepted the lift home and the rest, as they say, is history.
The electrician explains how he was able to offer something a bit less tangible than neck injury compensation, "It was love at first sight, it has got to have been meant to be, I had never been on the ring road before in my life.
"I was only behind the lorry because I missed my turning and went round again."
While the 23-year-old whiplash victim adds, "He is my hero, I was in the middle lane and he came over, got me out of the car and moved it onto Wilkinson's car park.
"There was an attraction there, people can't believe it when I tell them how we met, they think it's fate."
And the story has a fairytale ending too. The couple got married on June 6, exactly four years since the road traffic accident. Some might call it 100% compensation.
