Personal injury newsA 27-year-old man, who was left paralysed after a road traffic accident, has made a £300,000 car accident compensation claim. The man from Stockton, near Middlesbrough, was travelling as a passenger when the driver lost control and hit an embankment causing the car to roll off the road and onto its roof. The accident caused the victim to suffer serious personal injuries to his spine and left him paralysed from the neck down. He is now seeking car accident compensation and has made a claim against the driver of the vehicle, and her insurers. The man also claimed that she was driving without of due care and attention. It was revealed in a High Court writ that the man is unlikely to ever work again. Furthermore, it was reported that his life expectancy has been seriously reduced because of the injuries he sustained in the accident. The motorist, who admitted to driving without due care and attention during a hearing at Scarborough Magistrates' Court, was fined £150 and awarded six penalty points on her licence. She now faces a claim for £300,000 in car accident compensation made by the injured passenger, who is also seeking an order which will allow him to return to court should his condition deteriorate.
