A traffic collision involving two vehicles on the M8 left two lanes closed on the eastbound carriageway close to the Townhead area of Glasgow.
The collision involved a car and a lorry which crashed at junction 15 of the motorway.
No-one was believed to be seriously injured in the car crash but fire fighters had to free the occupants of the car which overturned in the incident.
The crash led to heavy congestion around the east side of Glasgow while the motorway was closed.
