Peugeot crushed by tractor - woman cut free from wreckage
A Sussex woman suffered car accident injuries when the front of her Peugeot was crushed by a tractor.
Around 30 firefighters were sent to the car accident scene and had to cut the woman free from the wreckage. She was stuck behind the crumpled dashboard, wedged beside the depressed passenger side and unable to open the driver-side door.
Police closed off the accident scene, a lane next to Ditchling Common, until they were able to carry out a thorough investigation.
The 29-year-old woman was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment to ankle injuries.
Although newspaper reports do not indicate whether any no win, no fee claim will stem from the incident, road accidents involving tractors result in many such claims each year.
