The car crashes include an incident involving a motorcycle near Ardlui, another involving a people carrier near Luss, and what the paper describes as a "fireball smash" between a car and a pick-up truck on the A9, which killed several people in both vehicles including a two-year-old boy. No explanation has been given why this level of car crash injury may have occurred on this weekend.
