Man paralysed in road traffic accident

A man travelling as a front seat passenger has suffered major spinal injuries in a horrific road traffic accident.

The 24-year-old man had been travelling with a friend who ran a car valeting business with him when the accident took place. The friend had been driving when the vehicle swerved off the road and crashed into a wall.

The driver endured fatal injuries while the passenger suffered severe spinal injuries which have left him paralysed from the neck down. A third passenger, in the rear of the vehicle, also suffered back and pelvic injuries but has since made a full recovery.

The accident victim has now launched a car accident compensation claim against the insurance company of the driver. Personal injury lawyers working on the case claim that the incident was caused by the driver's excessive speed and lack of due care and attention.

The road traffic accident, which took place in Beckton, Greater London, has left the claimant with severe disabilities which require long term specialist care.
