Road traffic accident claim possible for motorcyclist

A motorcyclist, who was driving between Broadclyst and Brandnich, in Devon, may be entitled to make a road traffic accident claim for his life-threatening personal injury.

The incident occurred on a three-lane section of the B3181 carriageway when the 33-year-old rider's Suzuki Vitara motorbike was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van, also being driven by a 33-year-old.

The biker sustained severe injuries in the crash and was airlifted to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where he was reported to be in a life-threatening condition.

There has been no report on the state of the van driver following the incident.

The police are asking witnesses to the accident to contact them with any information. This could help them with their investigations and enable them to determine liability for the collision.

If the van driver is found to be at fault, the motorcyclist, or his family, may decide to make a road traffic accident claim for his severe injuries and the impact they may have on his life in the future.
