The 23-year-old was a passenger in her friend's Peugeot when the car careered into a parked trailer. At the time of the car accident the woman's friend, who was driving the car, was travelling at over 10 mph more than the 40mph speed limit.
An out-of-court-settlement for the road accident compensation was reached after the woman's 29-year-old friend admitted liability.
The 29-year-old Manchester born woman, who suffered leg and neck injuries in the car crash herself, is said to be 'deeply regretful' and expressed 'total responsibility' for the car accident.
The 23-year-old said that she hoped that the road accident compensation payout would help her put the episode behind her. The two women are still friends.
