Photographer sues Lindsay Lohan following car accident
A member of the paparazzi is seeking car accident compensation from actress Lindsay Lohan after he sustained severe personal injuries when the car carrying the superstar crashed into him.
The photographer had been taking pictures of the 25-year-old actress at a Hollywood club when the car accident took place. The star had been sitting in the passenger seat of the car attempting to make a quick getaway when it drove into the paparazzo.
The car accident, which took place on 10 January 2010, left the man with serious orthopaedic and neurologic injuries which required medical treatment.
The photographer's personal injury lawyer claims that Lohan's assistant had been driving the car at the time of the incident and drove straight into her client, nailing him against a wall. The Mean Girls star, her driver and her management company were all named as defendants in the case.
The lawyer launched the claim for car accident compensation after the actress's insurance company made an initial "insignificant" offer.
