A Scottish pensioner was involved in a car crash this week - with a police car.
Her silver Megane and a Ford police car crashed on a Fraserburgh street at 7.15 in the evening on Monday. Neither the pensioner nor the two policemen, thought to be constables, were hurt in the road traffic accident, and no mention of injury claim7.htm">personal injury claims was made.
A spokesperson for the police would not say whether the police car was involved in a pursuit at the time of the smash, but did say that inquiries into the event had been launched.
It was not yet known whether the professional standards department would be looking into the Scottish car crash.
