A shop worker commented on the car crash and said, "I'm not sure what happened. I was standing by the centre by the counter serving a customer and this car just came through the window. It happened in a few seconds."
A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue said, "We called just after 3.15pm and an elderly female was already out of the car when we arrived.
"She had gone through the window. We helped pull it back out. It was quite a mess."
In the future, the owners of the shop may consider making a car accident claim to pay for the shop window repairs.
