Motorcycle accident compensation of $8.6 million (US) has been awarded to a rider who suffered serious injuries when his motorbike collided with a wild pig.
Initially, there were doubts about whether the Californian man would have any success in pursuing his motorcycle accident compensation action. However, the judge hearing the case agreed with his no win, no fee lawyer's assertion that the state of California should have taken measures to reduce risks associated with wild boar crossing the highway, and, indeed, that the accident could not be considered as unforeseen.
The likelihood of motorcycle accident compensation having to be paid for a similar incident has lately been reduced by a decision to introduce roadside signs warning of the dangers of wild boar crossing the roads.
