A 24-year-old man is considering making a whiplashcompensation claim after suffering a neck injury when he was riding as a passenger in a London taxi.
The 24-year-old was making a late night journey between Brixton and Highbury when he claims the taxi pulled up suddenly at some traffic lights causing his head to bounce backwards and forwards in a motion consistent with whiplash injury. He said that the taxi was 'screaming' down the road and did not appear to see the traffic lights until the last minute.
"I went to my GP two days later." The man, a semi-professional footballer told his football club's newsletter. "She thought that my symptoms were classic whiplash."
In the interview he voiced his fears that he cannot see himself playing for at least another month, so is considering making a whiplashcompensation claim.
He explained, "I never thought of myself as the kind of person who would claim whiplash compensation but since it's taken me out of the game for the vital end of season fixtures I'm now thinking twice."
