Controversial Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is set to appear in court in April as the subject of a £100,000 car accident compensation claim.
The 21-year-old self-confessed cocaine and alcohol addict is being sued by a man whose truck she collided with in Los Angeles in October 2005.
The truck driver blames Lohan for the car crash, saying she was drunk and driving erratically when the smash occurred. The actress denies this, however, and even a police spokesman has allegedly said that the road accident was the result of the trucker performing an illegal U-turn.
The star of Mean Girls and The Parent Trap denies she was drunk at the time of the car accident and claims that her Mercedes was being pursued by paparazzi when the collision occurred. She suffered minor personal injuries in the incident and her female passenger was also slightly hurt.
