Liverpool car crash leaves two dead, two critical.

Liverpool police are requesting information from any witnesses after a very serious car crash this weekend. In the accident, one car contained two teenagers who were killed, two who received serious injuries, and one who escaped with only minor personal injury.

The second car contained only one driver, who was not injured.

Both teenagers who suffered fatal injuries were thrown from their Vauxhall Astra as a result of the car accident. Emergency services cut the remaining three free. All were taken to Whiston Hospital.

The other car, a Volkswagen Beetle, was spun by the force of the collision into a fence and a lamppost, knocking both down. He was unharmed.

Fire crews spent two hours making the Speke Boulevard safe, and police closed the road overnight to gather evidence from the aftermath of the car crash. Any witnesses to the road traffic accident are asked to call 0151 777 5730
