Nanny seeks compensation for Hollywood car accident
After being seen in court many times in 2011, Lindsay Lohan now faces more legal action against her in the form of a claim for road traffic accident compensation from a nanny who alleges to have been hit by the actress in 2010.
The nanny had been crossing the street with a pushchair in West Hollywood when a Maserati driven by Miss Lohan hit her after failing to stop at a red light. A witness claimed to see the car run into the pedestrian's leg.
The woman was left with severe personal injuries and still suffers with pain and psychological problems as a result of the accident. Fortunately the child in the pushchair was unharmed.
The nanny has since filed a claim with Los Angeles Superior Court and is seeking damages to help cover medical costs and loss of earnings.
Lindsay Lohan recently faced a similar charge when a member of the paparazzi launched a claim for road traffic accident compensation after he was left injured by the actress' car when she was leaving a Hollywood club.
