Suffolk teenager cut out of crashed car only suffers whiplash

A recent car accident in Suffolk resulted in a narrow escape for one teenager after the local Air Ambulance was called to her aid.

Despite suffering pain in the neck and head, and needing to be cut out of her vehicle, her only lasting injuries are whiplash and mild concussion.

The accident occurred when she lost control of her vehicle on a corner in wet conditions, so that the car span into the hedgerow where it became stuck.

The teenager's boyfriend is a fundraiser for the Air Ambulance service. While worried by hearing about her accident being serious enough to require its attendance, he said he had been comforted by knowing how skilled the medics are.

While she has not said that she intends to seek compensation, the teenager may be able to do so if the road was not maintained sufficiently. However, she is currently resting her whiplash injuries and preparing to return to nursing work.
