Girl treated in hospital for whiplash injury

A young girl has been lucky to escape suffering serious personal injuries after being involved in a serious car crash in Whitby.

The twelve-year-old girl was treated for a minor whiplash injury after being involved in the road accident on the 20th October.

The accident occurred outside Cross Butt's Farm on the A171 Whitby to Guisborough Road after a VW Passat slowed down and indicated that it was turning right into the Stables restaurant.

A total of four cars were involved in the collision and police officers were forced to close one lane of the road.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Whitby Hospital and was treated for her whiplash injury.

Nobody else involved in the vehicle accident is thought to have sustained serious personal injuries.
