Parents who lost their 16-year-old daughter to a car crash caused by a "show off" teenage driver have said that they will seek to claim compensation for the "psychiatric injury" suffered as a result of her death.
The Welsh couple, who doctors say are suffering from a "severe form of post traumatic stress disorder", are still grieving nearly five years on from the car crash and say that "every day is hell" and that they both often feel that all they "want to do is die".
"Words cannot adequately describe our sense of loss," said the father.
In 2007 a court convicted the culpable driver of careless driving – two others, backseat passengers alongside the deceased 16-year-old girl, died in the accident.
The grieving father said that he hoped that the car crashcompensation claim would help bring some closure and "bring justice" for his daughter.
