Family seek compensation for son's devastating car crash injuries

The family of a young boy from Hampshire have launched a claim for £300,000 in car accident compensation after he suffered serious personal injuries in a road traffic accident.

The 11-year-old had been on his way to meet his mother who was picking him up from Blackfield Junior School when he attempted to cross the road and was struck by a car.

The schoolboy suffered serious personal injuries in the crash and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. He remained in a coma for ten days before it was discovered he had suffered a bleed on the brain and as a result has been left with severe brain damage.

The boy's family have since launched a compensation claim against the 19-year-old driver of the car, claiming that she had been driving too fast and had failed to take action to prevent the accident from taking place.

It has not yet been reported whether or not their claim for car accident compensation has been successful.
