A 41-year-old conman has who swindled a 37-year-old widow out of the car accident compensation she received for her late husband's death has been ordered to pay back the car accident compensation by Gloucester Crown Court.
The 41-year-old car salesman met the widow after he 'dialled a wrong number', spoke to her and organised a date.
The court also heard that he stood the widow up three times at the altar persuaded her to become pregnant by him after claiming he had prostate cancer and that it was his last chance to have children.
The conman, from Somerset, was already married and had a shared marital home.
The judge hearing the case deferred his jail sentence for six months, in which time he is expected to payback £2,000 of the car accident compensation.
