Woman passenger dies in four-vehicle motorway accident
Compensation claims may be made by victims of a motorway accident after liability for the four-vehicle crash has been established.
A woman travelling in a Renault Scenic died as a result of the collision on the M25 near South Ockendon close to its junction with the A13. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and another passenger from the Scenic was also hurt.
The other vehicles involved were a Jaguar, whose driver was also treated in hospital, an Alfa Romeo and a van.
The accident occurred at 5.45am and closed all the carriageways for six hours. Hundreds of vehicles were trapped behind the Essex crash site and police gave bottles of water to stranded motorists.
The 24-year-old Alfa Romeo driver, who comes from Basildon, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Essex Police serious collisions investigators are appealing for witnesses of the motorway accident. When their investigations are complete, the family of the dead woman and those who suffered personal injury will be able to consult a no win no fee solicitor about making a compensation claim.
