TV comedian Patrick Kielty has been arrested for a third time for driving in a manner that risks a road traffic accident. He was allegedly driving at 41 miles above the speed limit along the A75 from Stranraer in Scotland when he was snapped by speed cameras.
The Ulster comedian is thought to have been driving from the ferry port on his way to London.
He has been stopped for speeding several times previously, but is not known to have been in a car crash or to have been involved in a car accident compensation claim. One example, ten years ago, led to his charges being dropped after explaining he was rushing to a charity event.
The Fame Academy star has also been arrested for skinny-dipping in America.
If this instance of alleged dangerous driving is upheld in court later this month, his licence may be confiscated; if that occurs, the only road traffic accident he will be involved in would be as a passenger.
