A car crash solicitor from Somerset is warning residents of the county not to be pressed by insurers into early settlement of motor accident claims.
The car crash solicitor says that the practice, commonly known as "third party capture", means that many road accidentpersonal injury victims, often those with whiplash, find themselves offered settlement within hours of an incident taking place.
"What is going on is a disgrace. Many people involved in road traffic accidents can have their lives shattered by the injuries they have sustained," said the car crash solicitor.
He added, "That is why we have a legal system in place to make sure that the victims of road accidents can at least be financially compensated for what has happened to them.
"The only way in which the value of an accident claim can be assessed is to get proper medical reports and proper legal advice."
