Injured motorist drops claim following damning evidence

A motorist who made a car crash claim after suffering personal injuries in a car accident has since dropped his claim amount following the revelation of new evidence.

Surveillance footage gathered on behalf of the defendant revealed that the claimant had "grossly exaggerated" the injuries he sustained after a head-on car accident in 2007.

Despite claiming that he was suffering mobility problems due to the whiplash he sustained in the accident, the footage clearly showed him walking and lifting considerable weights with ease.

His lost wages claim for £472,000 and his £400,000 compensation claim were, therefore, both dropped.

The judge at the hearing declared he was satisfied that the claimant had been injured in the crash but not to the extent that he suggested.

He was therefore awarded £13,000 for his car crash claim which will be taxed in default of the agreement.
