Drinkers in a Wolverhampton beer garden were rudely disturbed this weekend as a car accident sent a convertible careering through a wall and into a picnic table.
The car left the Stourbridge Road, a dual carriageway with a bad reputation as a car crash blackspot, forcing customers in the pub to jump for their lives. Fortunately no one received serious personal injury in the smash.
An ambulance arrived, but - with no personal injury to treat - it returned to the local hospital empty, and the matter has now been passed to the police.
A local paper reported that this has raised new questions about this 70mph stretch of road, which has been the site of several car accidents, raising the potential for personal injury and attendant compensation claims.
