Teen in serious condition following car crash

A teenage driver has been charged in connection with a car accident that left a teenage passenger seriously injured.

The 16-year-old passenger is in a serious condition in hospital after the car crashed into a wall near to the Wauchope House high rise in the early hours of Saturday morning on Greendykes Road.

A police spokesperson said: "A 17-year-old male is due in court in connection with the incident."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the car crash who may be able to help the police with their enquiries.

Depending on the outcome of the case, the injured passenger may be able to make a compensation claim against the driver for the personal injury they sustained in the car accident.
