Child safety seat concern
Road safety experts in Hull have warned that child safety seats are not being used correctly, with many parents unknowingly exposing their children to the risk of serious car accident injuries.
According to the road safety specialists from Hull City Council, around half of all parents are failing to ensure that their child car seats are fitted for optimum safety.
In an effort to tackle this pressing car accident injury safety concern, the council has decided to hold a safety information day this week.
A spokesperson commented, "The council's road safety team has worked hard to reduce the number of injuries and deaths on the city's roads. Ensuring that child car safety seats are correctly fitted is another way of helping to reduce serious or fatal accidents to children."
No win, no fee solicitors note that it may be possible for children who suffer car accident injuries as a result of incorrectly fitted seats to one day claim compensation for the negligent actions of their parents.
