Car accident compensation may be sought after five people were seriously injured in a car crash in Edinburgh.
The group were all travelling in the same car when it left Gilmerton Station Road and ploughed into a field at 11.30pm on Sunday.
Three female passengers were thrown from the car and a male passenger had to be cut free from the back seats.
Several ambulance and medical staff were called to the scene as well as police and fire crews.
All of the passengers were taken to Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary but police said their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed as rescuers helped the car crash victims but was reopened two hours later.
It has not yet been reported if car accident compensation is likely to be claimed against the driver by any of the passengers.
