The accident, which involved two cars, caused the main road into Bolton to be closed for more than an hour while fire-fighters cleared the road and made the area safe.
The driver of one of the vehicles was given oxygen by fire-fighters at the scene while another man was treated by paramedics.
Both men were taken to hospital by ambulance but it is understood that their injuries were minor.
Fire crews from Bolton North fire station attended the scene, with police and the ambulance service.
The circumstances surrounding the car crash have yet to be reported however once this is established and liability decided, car accident compensation may be sought by one of the parties.
