Bond car in Scottish smash
It is anticipated that a collision in Aberdeen, Scotland between an Aston Martin Vanquish and a Nissan Navara Outlaw will result in an expensive car accident claim after witnesses spoke of how the Aston Martin, one of the UK's most expensive road vehicles, was all but written off following the crash.
According to reports, the Vanquish appeared out of control on a rain-soaked road service, skidding over the central reservation onto the other side of the road, where it collided with the Nissan.
In scenes that would not be out of place in a James Bond film - the Vanquish was used as Bond's car in Die Another Day - emergency services workers had to cut the roof from the Aston Martin in order to free the driver.
Both the Aston Martin driver and the Nissan driver were then taken to hospital to be treated for injuries, including whiplash, which means that car accident claims for injuries may follow.
"We transferred two males to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but neither was suffering life-threatening injuries," said a spokesperson from the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The incident is just one in a series of road accidents involving so-called supercars in Scotland this year. For example, earlier this year a car accident claim was made for a crash involving a £528,000 Pagani Zonda S.
