One car involved in last weekend's car crash is thought to have rolled over at least two times, although no other car was involved. Both passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The road was closed for two hours while emergency services worked on the scene.
Previous road traffic accidents near the location of this crash include a long closure caused by a lorry shedding a load of onions across the road, and a more serious crash in which a car left the road and went into a drainage ditch. The woman driving suffered minor injuries, but her daughter, who was a passenger in the car, died despite efforts of paramedics who jumped into the freezing water to release her from the car.
Anyone who saw these collisions on the M11 is invited by the Cambridgeshire police to contact them on 0845 4564564. No news is available as to whether any of these accidents is to lead to a road traffic accidentcompensation claim.
