A man from Kentucky in the USA has made a road accident claim for compensation after claiming that a billboard distracted him causing him to crash his car into a bus stop.
The 32-year-old construction worker was driving his Ford utility truck on a busy city road when his attention was drawn to an advertising billboard depicting a bikini-wearing woman drinking a cocktail. He sustained cuts, bruises and a neck injury in the car accident.
His no win, no fee solicitor claims that the local municipal government should accept liability for the road accident claim as they allowed a 'luminous and provocative advertisement, so clearly capable of causing dangerous distraction' on a busy road.
