Personal injury newsA woman from South Glamorgan who was left with severe personal injuries following a motorcycle accident has launched a road traffic accident claim for £300k. The 30-year-old woman had been travelling on her motorcycle along Uxbridge Hill in Feltham in 2008 when she was involved in a collision with another vehicle. According to a High Court writ the car had pulled out in front of the motorcyclist while attempting to make a right hand turn in the road, causing the road traffic accident. The biker sustained severe personal injuries in the collision including damage to her right arm and left leg which has developed into complex regional pain syndrome. The condition is a progressive disease which has left her in chronic pain and wheelchair dependant. The woman is claiming that the driver of the car was negligent and has launched a £300k road traffic accident claim against her. The motorist has agreed that she is 75% liable for the crash, but the two sides have not yet settled the dispute as to how much should be awarded.
