Will & Grace actress Debra Messing has been named as one of the defendants in a car crash claim lodged with Los Angeles Superior Court.
Although Messing was not physically involved in the incident, the fact that the vehicle named in the car crash claim is owned by her means that she must be named as the potentially liable party.
The person making the car crash claim, a police motorbike rider, is understood to be seeking in excess of $25,000 (US) accident compensation for his injuries, which are thought to include whiplash.
*Where replacement vehicle costs can be recovered from the insurance company of the person who caused the accident.
Where this person is untraceable or uninsured, or where there is a dispute over liability, a replacement vehicle cannot
be provided.
