LA motorcyclist receives $1m payout

A firm of Californian personal injury solicitors has secured a US $1 million compensation settlement for their client in his motorcycle accident claim.

The accident occurred as the defendant was driving his work vehicle along 7th Avenue, in the Industry area of Los Angeles, near La Puente. He had been travelling in the same direction as the claimant, but turned into a driveway without seeing the rider on his 2003 Yamaha motorcycle.

As a result of the road traffic accident the motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries. He was hospitalised and underwent many doctor's visits, rehabilitation sessions, and near-daily check ups following the accident.

The defendant also suffered serious injuries in the motorcycle accident, but he and his employer were adjudged to have been liable for the claimant's losses, which were, say his team of personal injury solicitors, substantial.

The personal injury solicitors explained that the motorcycle accident claim settlement would have been made up of sums for current and future medical bills, lost earnings, property damage, rehabilitation or physical therapy costs and pain and suffering.
