Car and motorcycle in Southampton Road collision

A Hampshire road traffic accident has resulted in a motorcyclist sustaining a back injury and fractured leg and left a female motorist with whiplash.

The accident happened on Southampton Road. Police were quickly called to the scene and closed off the road in order to carry out an investigation. Two ambulances and an emergency doctor also attended.

One of the ambulances took the motorcyclist to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to his injuries, while the woman's whiplash was treated at the scene.

As yet, there is no indication as to whether the woman is going to make a whiplash claim or if the motorbike rider will make a motorcycle accident claim.
