Goonies star tells of road accident

Hollywood actor Josh Brolin has revealed how he tried to hide the injuries he'd suffered in a motorcycle accident for fear that he'd be unable to work with legendary filmmakers the Coen brothers.

Brolin - who shot to fame in the 1985 hit The Goonies - broke his collarbone when involved in a road accident in May last year. But he was so terrified that he'd lose his part in No Country For Old Men that he kept schtum.

The 39-year-old recently made the revelation to film critics, saying: "I didn't say anything to anybody for a week until my lawyer said I had to. I was under the impression that you grit through it and if nobody knows, that's better."

Despite being fearful that he might lose the role with the directors of The Big Lebowski and O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Brolin finally decided to tell to tell the Coen brothers about his motorbike crash.

They turned out to be fine with his predicament and, luckily for Brolin, he was able to begin filming two weeks later.

It is not known if the Hollywood star made a motorcycle accident claim for personal injury compensation following last year's Los Angeles road smash.
