Singer walks away from bike smash

Keith Urban, world famous country music star and husband of Hollywood bombshell Nicole Kidman, has revealed how he was being pursued by a paparazzi photographer when he was involved in motorcycle accident earlier this month.

The 39-year-old pin-up was on his way to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting near his Sydney home when the smash occurred and he was lucky to escape unscathed.

Talking about the motorbike accident, the New Zealand-born singer told reporters, "While out riding to an AA meeting, a time when my privacy is especially important to me, I felt myself being pursued.

"I sped up and, in an effort to elude an oncoming car, which was making an illegal U-turn, saw no choice but to drop my bike."

The multi-award winning artist refused to blame the chasing photographer for the motorbike accident and simply said the incident was the result of "one person's desire to do his job and my desire to maintain my privacy."

He also revealed how the snapper passed up the opportunity to photograph him as he lay on the tarmac but instead helped him up and aided him on his way.

He suffered no injuries in the incident and so will not be needing a personal injury solicitor to help him make a motorcycle accident compensation claim.
