Motorcycle news - TV actor left injured following motorbike accidentActor Gary Lucy is recovering after coming off his Honda CBR 600 just yards from Esltree Studios in London. The 24-year-old former Footballers' Wives and Hollyoaks star was rushed to hospital where he was treated for an injured shoulder and extensive cuts and bruises following the motorbike accident last Friday. He has since been discharged and is expected to make a full recovery. Lucy, a father of one, is currently playing PC Will Fletcher in The Bill and filming is said to have been disrupted by the absence of the popular heart-throb. A TV spokeswoman told journalists, "There was concern he had dislocated his shoulder but that turned out not to be the case. But he's very badly bruised. "All the cast and crew wish him well." Exact details of the motorcycle accident are not yet known but the actor's bike was reported to have been left badly damaged by the smash. He has previously boasted about the CBR 600, a bike with a top speed of 160mph, and several months ago was quoted as saying, "It can be a very dangerous machine and I'm very aware of that, so I'm careful." |
