Cricket star killed in crash

The cricket world is in mourning following the death of a young international star in a motorbike accident.

Bangladeshi all-rounder Manjural Islam died when his bike was involved in the crash 85 miles southwest of the country's capital city of Dhaka. Exact details of the motorcycle accident are unknown and local reports contradict each other; some say that the bike collided with a speeding ambulance while some allege that Manjural simply lost control and hit the side of a bridge.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the motorbike accident but the 22-year-old cricketer had suffered serious personal injuries and died before help could arrive.

Manjural was not included in Bangladesh's current Cricket World Cup squad but has previously played in six tests and 25 limited-over internationals. A left-arm spinner, he was tipped to achieve great things in the game and tributes have been flooding in since the tragic motorbike accident occurred.
