Motorbike accident first aider loses bag to thief

A woman who rushed to offer first aid in a two-motorcycle crash in London this week was horrified to find her bag stolen.

The Camden motorbike accident threw one of the riders into a parked car. The Good Samaritan went to the female rider's aid, calling 999 and, following instructions given by the operator, gave treatment to the woman for her personal injury and shock.

It was only when the ambulance arrived to take the biker away that the woman realised her bag had been stolen. She said, "I was just two metres away and there were lots of people around. It had all my credit cards in it and my door keys. I had to call out a locksmith which cost nearly £400.

"The purse inside had sentimental value - my mother sent it to me from Australia when I had my first child."

No comment has been made as to whether the biker intends to make a personal injury claim as a result of the motorcycle crash.
