Pranksters risk deadly motorcycle accident

Devon bikers have expressed their outrage after kite string was found to be stretched across a busy main road at head height.

The string, thought to have been left on the Exmouth road by twisted pranksters, could easily have caused a horrific motorcycle accident had it not first been hit by a passing taxi.

The near-invisible twine ripped the cab's neon light from the top of the vehicle and the driver stopped to find out what had happened. He later spoke to reporters, saying, "I was horrified that some idiot had tied a length of strong cord across the road from a pole to a lamppost."

He also told of his fears that the string could easily have caused a motorcycle accident, saying, "I drive a Honda Gold Wing and wear an open-faced helmet. My motorbike has a screen and the cable would have gone straight over that and into my throat, cutting off my head."

A police officer commented on the incident and said, "It's absolute madness. This could have been far more serious than it already was."

Hearing about the crazed prank, a personal injury compensation claim expert from BP365, the no win, no fee motorbike accident specialists, said, "I can't believe that anyone would be so stupid as to do this, it really is insane."
