A London commuter tells how BP365 helped after her motorbike accident

personal injury compensation claim, motorbike accident Lizzy Patel has never really been massively into bikes. In fact, the thought of owning one never crossed her mind until she got offered her dream job as a publishing assistant in central London.

Extortionate prices meant renting a house within a couple of miles of the office was out of the question, and after only a few weeks of squeezing onto the Tube twice a day, she realised there had to be a less uncomfortable and far easier way to get to work.

And so she bought a bike. She wasn't interested in the pulling power of a gut-rumbling Harley or the speed of a lightning-quick fireblade, but wanted something that would allow her to weave in and out of the London traffic and get her to work without having to endure the hell of the Underground.

She chose a stunning blue Vespa ET4 and, after completing her CBT, strapped on her helmet for her first trip to work on her new bike. All went well and after a few trips she soon got used to the inconsiderate drivers in their Chelsea tractors and the erratic cabbies veering from one lane to another.

"Getting on the bike after having to put up with weeks of being squashed and shoved on the Tube was fantastic.

"It was actually really good fun getting to work and back and I reckon I got quite good at nipping in and out of all the traffic."

It came as a bit of a shock to Lizzy, therefore, when one of her daily trips to the publishing house didn't quite turn out to plan. Zipping along the A502 after leaving her Golders Green flat, a works van, seemingly in some mad rush, clipped her right handlebar.

She lost control and the bike came crashing down to the ground. Miraculously, she was left on the tarmac where she fell, while her shiny blue Vespa continued to slide for another twenty feet down the road. Cars screeched to a halt to avoid her, and realising what had happened, the driver of the van also slammed on the brakes, jumped out and came running over to Lizzy.

Considering how close she had come to being run over, she actually survived the motorbike accident with relatively little damage. Her left knee and elbow had suffered a few grazes, her clothes were torn and her helmet was scratched, but there was nothing that required an ambulance.

Lizzy, however, didn't feel too hot.

"I was in a right state," she said. "I was crying and blubbing and the whole thing had really shaken me up."

"The man who had hit me in his van was actually really nice and stayed with me until the police arrived."

Lizzy didn't fancy getting back on her bike after the motorcycle accident, and anyway, the Vespa was too badly damaged to be ridden. A recovery truck collected it and took it away to a nearby garage, while Lizzy exchanged insurance details, called work to tell them she wouldn't be in for the day and got a lift back home.

Later that morning she spoke to a friend who suggested she ring Bikers Protection 365 to see if they could help her out. So Lizzy gave them a bell and was pleasantly surprised at what she found out.

BP365 told her that after a few checks they could arrange to have her bike repaired and would provide a replacement whilst it was off the road. They also said they could supply a new helmet because hers was unusable as a result of the accident and asked if she wanted to claim compensation for her injuries.

Lucky to only have a few grazes, Lizzy declined the offer of making a personal injury compensation claim, but agreed to wait at home for a hire bike similar to her own to be delivered that very afternoon.

As promised, the hire bike arrived a few hours later, along with a brand new helmet, and Lizzy was assured that her own Vespa was currently being repaired.

It took a bit of bottle, but the next morning Lizzy strapped on her new helmet, hopped onto the bike and whizzed off to work along her normal route. She was a little nervous but the trip went without a hitch, leaving her sat at her office desk at five to nine with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Just over a week later, Lizzy's Vespa was returned from the garage and with the damage repaired it looked as good as new. The whole thing hadn't cost Lizzy a penny and, with the exception of some cuts and bruises that were healing nicely, it was as if the motorcycle accident had never happened.

"I was really chuffed with the way BP365 helped." Lizzy said. "They took the hassle out of the situation and dealt with everything."

"On top of all that, it didn't cost me anything. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who's had a motorbike accident."

So if you're in need of a little help after having an accident, just pick up the phone and give BP365 a bell any time of the day or night on 0800 0925 365. We'll get you back on the road as quickly as possible and we really won't charge you a thing.

We did it for Lizzy and we can do it for you too.
