World Cup winners awarded top-of-the-range bikes

The Italian football players who stormed to victory in last month's World Cup have each been promised a beautiful limited edition MV Agusta Brutale as a reward for their monumental achievements.

Each of the 24 team members will receive the exclusive Brutale 910R Italia, complete with a paint scheme to match the victorious Azzuri's team strip and personalised with their name and squad number on a plaque on the steering head.

The stunning bike is the result of MV boss Claudio Castiglioni's huge passion for football and it's not the first time he's awarded victorious World Cup squads with his motorcycles. Every member of the Italy team that defeated West Germany in the 1982 final received an MV and the French team that romped to glory in 1998 were each given Cagiva Gran Canyons decked out in red, white and blue.

In addition to the 24 bikes to be presented to the Italian squad, 100 replicas will also be built and put on sale to the general public. No release date or information on cost has yet been revealed.
