Rock star designs his very own Harley-Davidson

Rock star legend Steven Tyler has joined the ranks of the privileged few by designing his very own Harley-Davidson.

The 58-year-old Aerosmith frontman took time away from his band earlier this year to have throat surgery but kept himself busy during his recovery by penning plans for his own motorcycle creation.

Exact details of the bike are unknown but it has been revealed that just ten Steven Tyler Signature Series Harleys will be available to purchase at a cost of £44,000 each.

They will be launched on October 20th at a glitzy bash at Florida's Destination Daytona, the largest Harley-Davidson dealership in the world, and stars of the music and biking worlds are expected to attend.

Telling reporters of how he became passionate about bikes, Tyler said, "Growing up in Yonkers, New York, I went to hardware stores and admired minibikes. When I discovered big bikes and found that they had a motor and you didn't have to pedal, I was hooked."

He also added, "I love to ride. I love the freedom to have the wind blow through my hair, and I love the vibrations. They remind me of being on stage."
