The 70-year-old woman suffered various injuries after being in collision with a car on Great Northern Road, at its junction with Don Street, in Woodside, Aberdeen at 8:40 am.
Following the car accident the woman was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a stable condition.
Full details surrounding the cause of the car crash have yet to be reported.
Police were appealing for further information from any itnesses to the accident to help them with their investigations. Witnesses to the crash should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit their local police station.
Depending on the outcome of the police report on the crash, the elderly woman may be able to make an accident compensation claim for the injuries she suffered.
